Auctavias grew up in Saint Paul, and has been a musician for as long as he can remember. He started DJing and rapping in high school, and decided to continue that pursuit by attending school for audio production and engineering. His biggest challenge in learning to mix his own music is learning what it means to have ownership over his own work. Auctavias likes to stay active and in shape, and he does so by hitting the gym regularly and rock climbing when he has the opportunity. His most memorable experience from a wedding was the first time he saw what happens when a St. John’s crowd hears “Piano Man.” When asked about his language skills, Auctavias claims to speak sarcasm fluently – but is also proficient in English and Spanish.
Instant Request and Auctavius did a great job at our wedding. Everything was very organized and the service was top notch. We had a meeting beforehand to make sure we were all on the same page and he executed perfectly.
Auctavius did an outstanding job at reading the room and playing the right songs at the right times throughout the night. He also was great at introducing the wedding party and made sure he found us quickly to let us know when he would be kicking things off like speeches, first dances, etc. He brought the energy and I highly recommend him as a DJ for your wedding! My husband and I used Instant Request DJ for our wedding in December 2022, and we could not have been happier with this choice! They were very responsive and easy to communicate with. Their software for music planning is wonderful, really easy to use and very thorough! We were paired with Auctavias as our DJ, and he was great! We had a call with him to go over our music choices and he delivered everything we wanted perfectly! He played all of the music we had on our must-play list, and did a great job of reading the room to play the right music to keep the party going! He is very down to earth and knows how to make sure he keeps the dance floor busy. We hired Instant Request for our wedding in August 2020. Auctavius was great! We had him do the ceremony, dinner, and DJ for the dance. Everything went smoothly, we had so much fun, and we’d highly recommend him and Instant Request!
Auctavias was awesome, he knew exactly what to play. He played some things for everyone earlier on in the night, and when it got later the taste went to the younger crowd. Perfect was to make sure everyone was happy, TONS of comments on how great he was.
Our Instant Request DJ was a hit! The entire process of setting up our schedule for the night and playlist was so easy. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable and fun DJ.
Auctavias met and exceeded our expectations. He really knew how to read the crowd to keep people dancing all night long. I would recommend him to anyone! I still have people commenting to me on how wonderful the lighting was and how great the dance was. The dance floor was packed all night long. Auctavias did an absolutely wonderful job. From the announcing, to interacting with our families, and the music, We feel very fortunate he was selected for our event.
Our DJ was perfect. He fit our style and did a really great job. I would very highly recommend him. Auctavias was super organized and had a great playlist. He kept the dance floor busy and made sure everyone was ready for their toasts and speeches.

They were great with ideas and assistance throughout our whole planning process. Their online tool was a huge asset to enter our ceremony and reception info, contact info for other vendors for coordination, and our wants for music theme and DJ involvement. Our wedding was also not local and the DJ was on time and did an awesome job for setup and flexibility throughout our whole wedding day. Would definitely recommend!

HIRE. THEM. We had so many people dancing I was shocked. We hired Auctavias and he was amazing. He did such a good job with the entire wedding, even playing songs I had requested down to the specific minute. I would recommend them to anyone.
Auctavias was the DJ assigned to my daughter’s quniceanera and he was awesome! We’d never worked with a DJ before and weren’t sure what to expect. He answered all of our questions, helped us understand everything, he stuck to the song list, was flexible to make changes as we needed. It was a great experience and we will definitely use Instant Request DJ again!!
We used Instant Request DJ for our wedding day DJ on 9/4/2022 and had an all around great experience! They offer a platform with a very detailed survey to complete to pair you with the best possible DJ and to preselect any songs you may want to make sure is played at your wedding! Three weeks prior to the wedding we were paired with Auctavias and he reached out right away to have a one on one conversation so that he could make sure he knew everything we wanted and could ask any questions. And he did an amazing job the day of the wedding, from running the ceremony sound system, to being MC and DJ for the reception. He was very organized, making sure he knew what needed to be announced and when. And once the dancing started it never ended! The dance floor was full all night and we had the time of our lives! We had many guest complimenting how fun our wedding was, some even saying it was the most fun wedding they have been to. And I can’t help but think part of that was due to the dance floor that Auctavias and Instant Request kept going all night long (including an end of night encore when demanded by the guests)!
We had DJ Auctavias who was a standout person, kept everyone in order and made sure to check twice that he would answer any questions we had as soon as possible. Once the kids were out, he made sure to switch the playlist to something more suitable for us adults. The play list suggestion was fantastic and appropriate for the kids. I would give the uplights a perfect score. It really made the place more alive.
I would absolutely recommend Instant Request DJ’s! We were assigned DJ Auctavias and he was incredible. He rolled with the vibe of our party loving crowd, listened to and fulfilled any odd requests we had, and was a total hit not only with us but our wedding guests. He seamlessly provided for us all evening, from the ceremony, through dinner, and through the reception. He was professional, down to earth, easy going, and a blast to have with us!

I had heard about Instant Request after my friend had nothing but high praise for the company after her wedding last year. We absolutely loved working with Instant Request through the entirety of the planning process, and their online planning tool was very easy to use. Auctavius was our DJ, and he did a great job communicating with me, and playing instrumental covers I had found on Spotify/Youtube for our ceremony. All of our guests had high praise as well, and the dance floor was packed! Our wedding day was so much smoother with his help emceeing the event as well.

We highly recommend Instant Request – Especially DJ Auctavias! He DJ’ed both our ceremony and reception, and he was absolutely phenomenal – Professional, attuned to detail, and extremely easy to work with! He kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night and even helped us avoid a first dance snafu (we realized a couple of hours beforehand that we needed a cut version of John Legend’s “All of Me,” and he took care of it no problem)!
