DJ Tom C

We had DJ Tom C for our wedding and he was fantastic. He kept the night moving and the dance floor packed the whole night. He was great to talk with before the wedding and gave us confidence that he understood our wants and music tastes. Overall highly recommend.

Instant Request was amazing to work with! Their website was easy to use and create our wedding profile. We were able to lay out the timeline of the day and create our own playlist so our DJ could get to know what we like to listen to. Any time I had a question with changing our wedding day due to Covid-19 they were more than happy to help and relieve any stress. Tom Coughlin was our assigned, Black Tie DJ and he was phenomenal. We told Tom we wanted a dance party and that’s exactly what we got. He kept everyone out on the dance floor, read the crowd perfectly and stuck to our “do not play list.” We had all age groups out on the dance floor all night! Tom was professional, easy to work with and super friendly. Highly recommend!!

My husband and I initially wanted to keep costs low for our wedding and decided to go without a DJ. I went to a wedding in July as the videographer’s assistant and spent a good amount of time talking to the DJ there. The DJ was Tom C with Instant Request. He was super funny and answered all the questions I had about his equipment, the process, etc. Once the reception started, I was able to see first hand how great his DJ skills were! He was an awesome MC, and all the music flowed together really well. He was able to read the crowd and play music accordingly. After seeing him in action, I realized I really wanted him to DJ my wedding in October and convinced my husband we needed to hire a DJ. When I called Instant Request, the managers were super nice and helpful, they laid out all of our options for DJs and they made sure to accommodate us when we requested to have DJ Tom. I was worried what the price would be since we booked only 3 months in advance (which is super short notice in the wedding world), but their quote was incredibly affordable and transparent, especially since we got the Friday event discount and we only needed basic services. DJ Tom did such a great job at our wedding, and the process was a breeze. He worked in peoples’ music requests and made sure all the different genres of music we had transitioned flawlessly. I would definitely recommend Instant Request, and especially DJ Tom C.

Our DJ Tom Coughlin was amazing! He kept the dance floor packed literally all night. He read the crowd so well, every time I said this is the last dance then I’ll go mingle, I turned right around because he put on another banger. My brother sang and played guitar for our first dance and he took the time to work with him in advance to make sure he had the equipment needed and to set up properly to make sure everything went perfectly, the amount of detail put in was so helpful. The whole process with Instant Request was so easy, their online platform really let us customize our day and to let Tom know what we wanted in music as well as speeches, grand entrance, etc. It was something I never had to stress over and as a bride, that’s a wonderful feeling!

Tom Coughlin was our DJ for our wedding in January! I can’t say enough great things about him. You can tell Tom has been doing this for a long time as the night went as smooth as it could have. The dance floor was full all night long and he had guests basically throwing money at him to play more songs as the end of the night! He played a perfect range of songs for everyone. If you are lucky enough to have Tom as your DJ you can expect the dance floor to be packed all night!

Instant Request is an amazing DJ company! They are very professional and organized. The playlist can be as customized as you want it to be! Tom was a GREAT DJ. Shoutout to Tom for starting the party and keeping it going!!

DJ Tom C was the best DJ we could have had for our wedding! He read the crowd very well and there was not one moment during the night that we heard a song we didn’t like, we honestly would not change a single thing he did. We received so many compliments from our guests on how good our DJ was as well. The event planner tool made the planning process so easy and had everything in it to ensure things went smoothly and exactly the way we wanted. We can’t recommend Instant Request (and DJ Tom C) enough!  Thank you so much for everything you did for our wedding. You did such an amazing job with the music between the ceremony, reception and everything else, it truly made our special day even more amazing! It was everything we wanted. Tom was a delight! He’s a gentle giant with a knack of feeling the room. We had an excellent phone call with him before the wedding and when we got to the day of, we didn’t worry about a thing. He quickly made any adjustments on the fly! We would highly recommend Tom for anyone looking for a DJ.

It allowed us to cover all the bases, even things we hadn’t considered! Our DJ was Tom and he was fantastic. He kept the dance floor packed the entire night, making selections that the whole crowd loved. I also felt Instant Request was a good value compared to other places we researched. I would recommend them to other couples, ask for Tom!

We were not sure what to expect using a bigger company who picked our DJ for us without us knowing who’d we get. We were matched with DJ Tom and he blew our expectations away! DJ Tom called us about one week prior to our wedding to go over all parts of our wedding – this made us a little more comfortable with our decision to book with Instant Request DJ. On our wedding day, DJ Tom made a point to introduce himself to us as well as any important members of our wedding, including other vendors. He was dressed professionally and was so natural around us, as if he was part of our friend group. When it came time to play the music…. DJ Tom was hands down the best DJ we’d ever came across. He knew what music to play to keep the crowd going! We heard from nearly all of our wedding guests that our DJ was awesome. So when booking with Instant Request – request DJ Tom!

We had DJ Tom Coughlin for our wedding last weekend. I’m not sure if I can express how satisfied we are with his service and performance. He did AMAZING!! The dance floor was packed all night long because of his engagement with the guests and because he read the crowd and switched up the songs as he needed to. If we are ever in need of a DJ again, him and Instant Request will be our choice for sure. Thank you, Tom and Instant Request!! 

DJ WAS AWESOME. Did what we requested to a T. No technical difficulties. What made him amazing was what he did when we gave him the flexibility to express his talents, it created such an incredible dance floor atmosphere. This DJ was the best.

We had a barn dance on the hottest day of the year, and Tom kept stance inside the entire time even though it was 100 degrees in there. He moved a speaker outside mid way too, so people could still enjoy the music! He was fantastic!

Instant Request was extremely organized and diligent with how they communicated with us, their online reception planner was the perfect way for me to give them all the information they needed to make our wedding night perfect! I love how they set us up with a DJ that best suited our wedding atmosphere, and LOVED that we were able to create our own music playlist. Our DJ did an excellent job with running the reception and was great about any last minute changes we had leading up to the wedding. 

Instant Request was one of the best choices we made for our wedding – 5 stars! Our DJ Tom was the best!!! He was exactly what we wanted in a DJ – charismatic, fun, and kept the dance floor going all night! He was great with requests and so kind and funny with our guests. Our DJ (Tom Coughlin) did a fantastic job and suited our needs. He was flexible, professional, and worked extremely hard through all of the heat and event set up. We cannot say enough about how great of a job he did! The sound system worked well for both our ceremony and reception, which exceeded our expectations since it was an outdoor wedding and we didn’t totally know what our day would entail. The lighting also helped create a fun dancing atmosphere. I like how Instant Request has a very reasonable rate and takes into account the customer’s wishes to match up a DJ that fits their needs. Not having to find our own DJ through other sites made it a lot easier on us for planning our wedding.  We couldn’t even find any other service remotely in the same price range for how long our DJ provided his services and the quality was outstanding! Thank you so much for providing such a classy DJ for us and helping us with planning. This process went a lot smoother than we were expecting and can’t say enough about your service and Tom Coughlin as a DJ!

Hands down the best DJ in the Twin Cities! From planning to dancing they put us at ease on our big day.
